While we instruct all of our patients to brush and floss at home, we also encourage routine dental cleanings and exams. To protect and maintain your oral health, you should see your dentist every six months.

A regularly scheduled exam and cleaning offer our patients the peace of mind that they are actively fighting against tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath. During your exam and cleaning, patients will receive a professional floss and polish to keep your smile looking healthy and bright. A biannual exam and cleaning also allow us to identify small problems early on, thus avoiding expensive procedures in the future operating under a preventative mindset.
Your Oral Exam
Each patient will receive an x-ray to give our team a more comprehensive understanding of how best to champion your oral health. After the x-ray, you will have a dental exam. During your exam, Dr. Cantu will examine your teeth and gums for signs of decay, disease, and other potential issues.
Professional Cleanings
Your dental hygienist will gently and methodically clean your teeth to remove tartar or buildup from your mouth, followed by a professional floss and polish. Our hygienists are committed to the holistic health of our patients and to their comfort throughout the dental cleaning process.
