The process of bone grafting involves taking a piece of bone from one part of your jaw or cadaver and moving it to the place where the grafting occurs. The area of transplantation takes several months to set in and become stable before further procedures can happen. When a certain amount of time has passed, and the area has healed, additional procedures such as dental implants can and most likely will occur.
